I am driven by my passion for adventure.

Nate Greason, the founder of Set Forth Adventures

I love being outdoors, challenging myself, and engaging with new places and activities. Adventures fulfill me, rejuvenate me, and help me become a better version of myself.

My passion for planning outdoor adventures started early: as a child, I spent countless afternoons planning expeditions into the woods behind our home in Washington state. As I ventured from Washington to New England to attend Dartmouth college the trips got bigger and further afield – big ski weekends in the White Mountains, and summers leading cycling trips for high school students in Vermont, through the Canadian Rockies, and across all of Europe.

After college, I worked in consulting and on a political campaign, and continued to plan trips for my friends and family. In between jobs, I crisscrossed the country, trail running, biking, visiting friends, and living in a truck I’d converted to a camper. I spent a winter living in Salt Lake City, Utah, chasing powder across the Mountain West and refining my backcountry route planning, navigating, and skiing techniques. That winter was challenging, rewarding, and fun. Ultimately, it prompted me to find a job from-which I could facilitate outdoor adventures for others: working at Overland Summers to plan hiking and biking trips for groups of students across the U.S., Europe, and Africa.

Being a professional Trip Planner inspires me and fulfills me. I love leveraging my experience and skills to help others capture the joy and growth that outdoor adventures have always given me. If you’re ready for an adventure of your own then please reach out – I can’t wait to see what we plan.
